How much does a Colorbond fence cost in Brisbane?

· Elite 7 Fencing

What actually drives the price of a Colorbond fence — and why a free, measured, all-inclusive written quote beats any number over the phone.

It is the first question almost everyone asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on your block. Two fences of the same length can be priced quite differently depending on what the site throws at us. Rather than quote a number that turns out to be wrong, here is what actually drives the price — so you know what to expect, and what to have ready when we come to measure.

What drives the price of a Colorbond fence

  • Length. The big one. Priced per lineal metre, so the run of the boundary is the starting point.
  • Height. A standard fence versus a taller one for privacy or noise changes the amount of steel and the labour.
  • The ground. A flat, even boundary is quick. A slope that needs the fence stepped or raked to follow the land takes more work. Rock or old concrete that needs a jackhammer adds to it too.
  • Site access. An open backyard we can get to easily is cheaper to work than a tight side access where everything is carried by hand.
  • The old fence. Whether there is an existing fence to remove and dispose of, and what it is made of.
  • Extras. Gates, timber or concrete sleepers, retaining, and the number of corners and ends all factor in.

Why we quote on site, in writing

Because all of the above only becomes clear once we have seen your block, we do not guess over the phone. We come out, measure up, and give you one all-inclusive written price covering labour and materials, with the scope of works set out clearly. No per-item surprises, and if something on site changes that scope, we talk it through with you before we do the work. The measure and quote are free, with no obligation.

A clearer way to compare: our packages

If you are trying to work out what is and is not included, our Bronze, Silver and Gold packages lay it out plainly — from a straight supply-and-install through to the all-inclusive job with every removal, disposal and clean-up handled. It is the easiest way to see exactly where your money goes.

Sharing the cost with a neighbour

If it is a boundary fence, you may be sharing the cost with your neighbour. Our written quote is something you can hand straight to them so you are both looking at the same figure — see our guide to dividing fence rules in Brisbane for how that works.

Common questions

How much does a Colorbond fence cost in Brisbane?

It depends on length, height and site access, so the best way to get an accurate number is a measured quote, which is free. Our quotes are one all-inclusive price covering labour and materials, with the scope of works set out clearly in writing. If anything on site changes that scope, we'll discuss it with you before we proceed.

What makes one fence cost more than another?

The main factors are length, height, the ground (a slope that needs stepping or raking, or rock that needs a jackhammer), site access, whether an old fence needs removing, and extras like gates, sleepers and the number of corners. That's why we price on site rather than over the phone.

Is the measure and quote really free?

Yes. We come out, measure up and give you a written, all-inclusive price with no obligation. You're free to think it over or share it with a neighbour before deciding.

Is old fence removal included in the price?

It depends on the package. Our Silver and Gold packages include taking the old fence away and cleaning up the site, while Bronze is a straight supply-and-install. We'll set out exactly what's included in your written quote.
